Accounts Assistant (Ref: AA1)
The applying candidate must be a team player and demonstrate experience in finance and administrative services. Reporting to the Headteacher and the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:
- Assisting the Finance Manager in a range of tasks involving both Finance and Administration;
- Preparation of monthly control account reconciliations;
- Paying creditors and handling queries from suppliers; and
- Posting journals and ensuring records are kept up to date and are accurate on Pastel.
- Preparing salaries on VIP and supporting schedules The successful applicant must possess the following:
- A minimum of 2 years in a finance position;
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a Finance related subject;
- Familiarity with Pastel and VIP systems
- Previous experience in a similar role at a school will be an added advantage; and
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
