Material Management Officer I – Botswana Examination Council

Job Description

Botswana Examinations Council (BEC) invites applications from suitably qualified and results-oriented professionals to fill the following positions:

Main Purpose of the Job

Plan, coordinate and supervise materials management services for different assessment levels in accordance with established procedures, standards and guidelines.

Key Performance Areas

• Early material dispatch for coursework and practical examinations.
• Secure transportation of examination materials.
• Receipt, logging, packing and dispatch of scripts (including Cambridge International).
• Coordinate marker training and standardisation sessions.
• Supervise marking exercises and grade review processes.
• Manage script packaging, storage, data cleaning and disposal.
• Liaise with Printing, Logistics, Relations Management and other stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with security guidelines for handling assessment materials.
• Participate in performance appraisals of outsourced personnel.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in Educational Management or relevant field.
• Certification in assessment administration.
• Minimum 4 years post-qualification experience.
• At least 2 years at junior professional/technician level.
• Supervisory experience is an added advantage.
