Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse and distribution operations for Coca-Cola Beverages Botswana in Gaborone, ensuring efficient order fulfillment and safety compliance.
Coca-Cola Beverages Botswana is the local operating entity of Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA) in the country. It is responsible for the manufacturin Coca-Cola Beverages Botswana is seeking to appoint a Team Leader Distribution. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the role is responsible for supervising and coordinating daily warehouse and distribution operations within a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment to ensure accurate, efficient, and timely order fulfillment. The role focuses on achieving high levels of productivity, stock accuracy, safety compliance, and team performance while meeting strict delivery timelines and service level agreements (SLAs).

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the execution of daily delivery plans.
- Maintain daily compliance to Distribution and Warehouse BWPs.
- Control driver shortages at the depot and in trade.
- Maintain budget control through correct dispatching and mode mix management.
- Ensure the implementation of ODIF principles.
- Optimize daily distribution performance.
- Ensure the optimization of customer service.
- Perform administration duties daily and ensure that all aspects are up to date.
- Perform the SCMAT tasks daily / weekly / monthly in full.
- Manage the Owner Driver (OD) and OD Business Advisor (BA) engagements.
- Ensure effective Contract management, including Owner drivers.
- Attend to Customer and Sales team queries, timeously and efficiently.
- Ensure that internal query resolution (warehouse, settlement) is expedited.
- Manage effective teamwork in own area.
- Maintain our RTMS accreditation (Road Transport Management System).
- Maintain safe, healthy and risk-free working environment.
- Monitor Safety policies, procedures and company standards.
- Reporting on incidents and accidents completed against set standards.
- Ensure goals, SLA’s and work routines are clear.
- Effectively manage individual performance and development in line with PERFORM way.
- Manage the processes of mentoring and coaching of Owner Drivers.
- Support and encourage principles of ownership and responsibility within the team.
- Lead Change by involving and engaging with team and all relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure daily controls are followed, drivers comply with CCBSA policies, and driver files are current.
- Implement the Driver Satisfaction Survey and generate regular reports for regions and districts.
- Stay updated on and apply business best practices across regions and districts
Requirements
- BCom Degree or Diploma in Logistics / Transport Management
- 2 years’ experience within the FMCG transport field
- Experience in FMCG, Logistics, Distribution, Planning, Warehouse
- A good understanding of CCBA Logistics systems and processes.
- Good understanding of Road Transport and related legislation and NOSA
- Execute daily delivery plans, ensure compliance with Distribution and Warehouse BWPs, and optimize distribution performance.
- Manage engagements with Owner Drivers and Business Advisors, address customer and sales team queries, and ensure internal query resolution.
- Maintain RTMS accreditation, uphold safety policies and standards, and report incidents and accidents according to set protocols.
- Control budget through effective dispatching, manage driver performance, and support team development through mentoring and coaching.
- Ensure adherence to daily controls, maintain updated driver files, implement satisfaction surveys, and generate timely reports
