Job Description
Tebelopele is seeking a qualified Corporate Clinical Psychologist to provide professional psychological services that promote mental health, wellbeing and productivity to employees and corporate clients while supporting organizational wellness initiatives and facilitating stakeholders’ engagements. This role requires a registered professional practicing in Botswana, to bridge clinical expertise with corporate wellness delivery, ensuring employees/clients receive accessible psychological services that are both ethically sound and administratively compliant.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical oversight & Employee/clients support: Provide confidential psychological assessments, counselling, and therapeutic interventions to individuals and corporate clients as part of corporate wellness programs. It also includes development of care plans and making referrals to any other specialized service when need arise.
- Medical aid facilitation: Provide oversight, coordination/ supervision for medical aid claims and payments for psychological services, ensuring compliance with regulatory and ethical standards. Should be registered to practice in Botswana.
- Workplace Mental health promotion & Program delivery: Design and implement evidence-based wellness programs addressing stress management, resilience, burnout prevention, and mental health awareness with continuous improvement of corporate wellness programmes. Advise management on psychosocial risk management and workplace wellbeing strategies.
- Employee support: Deliver confidential employee support services in line with organisational policies and ethical standards and provide crisis intervention and psychological first aid when required.
- Organizational consultation: Develop and maintain good working relationships with stakeholders. Advise HR and leadership teams on workplace mental health strategies, policies, and interventions.
- Compliance & reporting: Maintain accurate, service utilisation, trends, and outcomes of clinical records, prepare reports for medical aid submissions, and ensure adherence to professional and legal requirements. Good understanding and utilization of International Classification of Diseases (ICD) systems.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or Doctorate in Clinical Psychology.
- Current registration/licensure with the Health Professions Council of Botswana or relevant governing body.
- Experience in corporate wellness, employee assistance programs, or occupational health psychology.
- Strong understanding of ethical and legal frameworks governing psychological practice and medical aid claims.
- Professional integrity and commitment to confidentiality.
- Effective communication and facilitation skills for both individual and group settings.
- Ability to balance clinical responsibilities with corporate consulting demands.
- Empathy, cultural sensitivity, and adaptability in diverse workplace environments.
