Description
• The incumbent will undertake valuation of existing property(landed) portfolio periodically and assess external valuations and approve the same.
• To be responsible for property development appraisals and to further monitor approved building loans during construction.
• They will be responsible for management of #Bank’s Panel of Valuer and make recommendations to the appropriate authority for the listing or delisting of #Valuation Firms.
• Tasked to inspect fixed property and to determine building progress or the most probable open market value of such property based on market research on comparable sales and the current economic cycle, as to best protect the interest of the financier and client

Duties
• Supervision, training, mentoring and guidance of trainee Valuers on the good valuation practice and valuation procedures both inside and outside the organisation.
• Valuations on all #property types as per directives from management from time to time
• Investigation into alternative building methods and materials
• Inspections of residential, business/commercial and industrial properties as per directives from management from time to time
• Execution of re-valuations steps
• Inspections on buildings/properties for purposes of resolving queries, disputes or for any other official or administrative purpose.
• Continuous research into the latest market conditions, indicators, trends and rates.
• Provide professional customer service to clients and estate agents and refer them to the correct clients and agencies.
• Identify cross-selling opportunities and refer such opportunities and leads to the correct person or department involved.

Qualification
• Bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate, Bachelors degree in Property Valuation & Management or equivalent.

Experience
• Minimum 3 Years experience in a similar position, banking would be an added advantage
• Must be a member of Real Estate Institute (REP) and the Real Estate Advisory Council (REAC)
• Must have a drivers licence
