Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
•Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, reports and legal descriptions of survey in order to describe, certify and assume liability performed.
•Verify the accurate of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.
•Direct or conduct surveys in order to establish legal boundaries for properties, based on legal deeds and titles.
•Record the results of surveys, including the shape, contour, location, elevation, and dimension of land or land features.
•Calculate heights, depths, relative positions, property lines and other characteristics of terrain. Prepare or supervise preparation of all data, charts, plots, maps, records and documents related to surveys.
•Write descriptions of property boundary surveys for use in deeds, leases or other legal documents
Skills & Experience
•BSc Civil Engineering and related work experience may be substituted.
•A surveying program may be offered with a related major such as mapping science or cartography. Some programs offer concentration areas, which might include design or photo surveying
•A positive can do attitude towards work and a strong ability to work in a team environment
•Excellent knowledge of building codes and attention to details is a must
•Atleast five years of experience
