AECI Botswana (Pty) Ltd, an explosives and specialty chemicals company focused on providing products and services to a broad spectrum of customers in mining, manufacturing and agricultural sectors, has the following vacancy at Khoemacau Copper Mine
UBS Technician (9 months contract)
Core Responsibilities
• Fixed and mobile equipment maintenance, service and inspections
• Mobile Charging Units (MCU) Calibrations
• Assist the Site Manager with engineering projects management
• Maintenance related monthly reporting to AECI Botswana, the Group and the client
• Maintenance scheduling and forecasting
• Equipment breakdown and planned maintenance
• Critical and other spares management
• Equipment availabilities management
• Conduct equipment trip tests
• Centralised blasting system maintenance
• Maintenance related store keeping
Qualifications, Experience and Skills Requirements
• At least a Diploma or NCC in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)
• At least 4 years’ experience in a similar, explosives equipment maintenance, environment
• Knowledge of Mobile Charging Units and pump maintenance
• Valid class B driver’s license
• Experience in maintenance of explosives plants
• Must be a Motswana
• Must be able to speak Setswana and English fluently
• Knowledge and experience in AECI products is an added advantage
