REPORTS TO: Circuit Switch- Core Operations Manager
OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION
- Operate and maintain high quality service of transmission networks (SDH, microwave systems, synchronization/clock systems, point-to-multi point network, mobile & fixed transmission network.) ensuring high performance on all systems at all times to meet customer satisfaction targets.
- Provide effective technical support to assistant engineers and technicians.
- Continually provide quality improvements within the transmission network operations.
- To guide operational strategies affecting the network.
QUALIFICATION
- Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
- Specialised training in Telecommunications is an added advantage.
EXPERIENCE
- 5 years of experience in maintaining transmission units
LEGAL CERTIFICATION / PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIP
- ERB registration
- Membership of a professional association will be an added advantage.
- HCIP in relevant technologies or equivalent is an advantage.
