Main Purpose of the Job:

BoFiNet is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technology Planning Manager to lead our Technical Strategy adoption and execution initiatives. The position reports to the Head of Technology Planning. The role is responsible for you the planning, deployment, and optimization of the BOFINET’s Transport and IP Networks, in line with the Business requirements, as well as the technical strategy roadmap and technology evolution. This position offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an individual with high attention to details and ability to bring simplify complex challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Capacity forecasting for the BOFINET IP and Transport networks.
• Own and manage the network CAPEX utilization.
• Lead the design and management strategy across the BOFINET global Network.
• Own and maintain High Level Design and Low-Level Design planning documentation for network expansions.
• Align the Quality of Services definition and KPIs across IP networks.
• Developing policies and procedures, SLAs and network performance.
• Establish and manage OEM vendor relationships and escalations.
• Manage the lifecycle of the existing network network inventory end to end.
• Continuously identify key gaps in the infrastructure to create a homogeneous global Network based on customer demands.
• Perform network capacity / cost assessments and provide input to business cases for network build.

• In-depth knowledge of network planning principles and frameworks.
• Proficiency in technical operations of Optical Transport Networks and IP Networks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex network issues and develop effective solutions.
• Experience with capacity forecasting and cost-effective network rollouts.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.

Academic Qualification and Experience

A bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications and Technology, Electrical and Electronic Engineering or any related field.

• 7+ years Network Solution and Architecture design experience for both IP and OTN, in a multinational telecommunication/ISP environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory position.
• Telecommunications/ISP Industry experience at wholesale level is a requirement.
• Relevant experience managing a team is necessary.
• You have sound experience in large scale network infrastructure planning and technical project management, driving transformational planning and capacity initiatives.
