Job Summary:
The Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of a wide range of technical equipment and systems. Using your hands-on expertise and problem-solving skills, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our client’s assets and infrastructure. As a member of our technical team, you will work closely with engineers, operators, and other stakeholders to diagnose and resolve issues, implement preventive maintenance programs, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our technical capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
– Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on a variety of equipment, including mechanical, electrical, electronic, and instrumentation systems
– Conduct inspections, testing, and diagnostics to identify potential issues or malfunctions and recommend appropriate corrective actions
– Troubleshoot and repair equipment breakdowns, utilizing specialized tools and equipment as required
– Install, configure, and calibrate new or replacement components and systems, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards
– Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and performance data
– Collaborate with engineers and subject matter experts to develop and implement preventive maintenance strategies and procedures
– Provide technical support and guidance to operators and other personnel on the proper use and care of equipment
– Contribute to the continuous improvement of maintenance practices, documentation, and training programs
– Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in relevant technologies, tools, and industry best practices
– Adhere to all applicable safety, environmental, and quality control protocols
Required Skills and Experience:
– Technical diploma or certificate in a relevant field, such as mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation technology
– 3-5 years of experience as a technician or in a related technical role
– Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to diagnose and resolve complex issues
– Proficient in the use of a variety of hand tools, power tools, and specialized test equipment
– Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
– Good understanding of relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations
– Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
– Adaptable and able to work independently or as part of a team
– Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
– Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as required
