Description

To plan, manage and co-ordinate (control) Airline’s Technical Services function, work program (including when on call) and resources; ensures airworthiness of Aircrafts through timely development and review of maintenance program of BP Fleet. The role maintains a commercial focus, optimises utilisation of resources to ensure optimal availability of aircraft through cost effective maintenance programming, planning, and materials management as well as accurate maintenance of technical records in accordance with legal requirements, operational conditions and manufacturers specifications and standards.

In addition, ensure that aircraft are maintained at the highest levels of Safety, Security and Reliability.

Minimum Education Required

  • A recognized Degree in Aircraft Maintenance, Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Should be a holder of an Aircraft Maintenance License(s) from a recognized civil aviation authority covering airframe and power plant or avionics.

Minimum Experience Required

  • A minimum of eight (8) years post graduate experience of which four (4) years should be at Junior management positions including being a Licensed Aircraft Engineer with experience on the type of aircraft operated by Air Botswana.
  • Specialized training in quality assurance procedures would be an added advantage.
