VACANCY CIRCULAR NO: 40 OF 2022

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Government Employees for the below mentioned post tenable in Gaborone City Council.

POST: TECHNICAL  ASSISTANT (ROADS)

SALARY: B3/2/1 (P59, 412.00 – P98,160.00 per annum)

QUALIFICATIONS: Certificate in Highway Engineering or related field

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of two (2) years satisfactory experience at B4 scale

LEAVE: 20 working days per annum

BENEFITS: Optional contributory Medical Aid Scheme

(Employer pays 80% and Employee pays 20%)

Contributory Pension Fund (Employer pays 15% and Employee pays 5%)

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

  • To perform simple road surveys for maintenance, planning and designs including gravel prospecting and routine of road projects.

DUTIES:

  • Conducts simple measurements of roads and furniture dimensions for planning and construction.
  • Carries out routine maintenance on roads as well as road sign installations in accordance with specifications.
  • Undertakes any other related duties as directed by management
