Main purpose of the job

Bayport Financial Services is on the lookout for a vibrant and motivated Team Leader to lead our team in Tutume. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, are passionate about delivering results, we want to hear from you. You will be responsible for smooth running of a Branch, and to achieve all set sales targets. You will also ensure that Quality Control is done at the Branch level. The Team Leader manages Branch Agents and ensures that the active Agents headcount is at the agreed level. It is the Team Leaders responsibility to manage all equipment in the Branch.
Main Duties and Responsibilities

 STRATEGIC INITIATIVES

*  Develop Sales Strategy
* Assists in the designing and development of sales strategy and implementing new products for Bayport Financial Services Botswana.
* Facilitates, implementation and ongoing maintenance of sales initiatives and campaigns.
* Develops subordinates in accordance with company goals.
* Ensure that all tasks are carried out with a high degree of professionalism.

 STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT

* Manage business opportunities within the area.
* Perform presentations to prospective clients, proposals and close new deals.
* Proactively identify new opportunities to further expand the business.

OPERATIONAL

*Day-to-day Branch Management
* Ensure that the Branch has the minimum number of agents required as per the branch policy.
* Achieve new and repeat ratio split as determined and set by business.
* Ensure that the Branch achieves the minimum sales target that is set by business.
* Ensure branches contains monthly variable costs within budget e.g. telephone, stationery, refreshments etc.
* Ensure proper banking of money on a day running of the branch including petty cash reconciliations.
* Ensure that agents’ commission pay-outs for the flow of information from Support Office to Agent level.
* Ensure that branch facilities are fully functional, compliant and well maintained.
* Stay abreast with current industry trends and provide regular feedback on competitor information.

Customer Service

* Takes responsibility for branch customer services.
* Manages customer complaints by attending to them immediately and providing feedback to relevant parties.
* Logs complaints using a comprehensive query-logging system.
* Instills processes and strategies that safeguard high standards of customer service.
* Client protection principles must be incorporated into the way Bayport does business.
* Ensures adherence to company policies and procedures.
* Handles any application rejections from Support Office below set KPI standards.

 PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

* Hold weekly performance feedback sessions with Sales Agents.
* Coach and mentor on products, collections, company sales policies and procedures (e.g. credit policy, Agent’s code of conduct etc.).
* Conduct weekly training and refresher training on any commonly sanctioned resources to fulfill their roles and duties.
* Ensure a consistent recruitment of qualified and highly qualified Sales Agents.
* Give continuous mentorship and coaching to Sales Agents on how to achieve and maintain excellent sales performance within their respective branches. Ensure sales growth of selling agents, are continuously trained on product, systems and processes.
* Conduct formal appraisals and give constructive performance feedback to all direct reports quarterly and.
* Reward and recognize good performance through awards, written and verbal feedback.

 QUALIFICATIONS

* Diploma in Sales & Marketing or any related field.
* NCQB & BQA accredited.
* Computer Literate

CERTIFICATIONS AND TRAINING COURSES

* Presentation Skills

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

* 2 years of sales industry experience.

INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE

* 2 years of financial industry experience or micro lending industry.
