Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for the construction supervision of a structural/ civil project comprising the construction of administration and residential buildings at multiple construction sites, and requiring extensive travel.

The candidate will be a part of a multi-disciplinary consortium of technical specialists working together under challenging conditions on a PPP project. Reporting to the Division Head or Project Leader, the successful candidate will be expected to liaise with the head office structural/ civil design team in the interpretation of project documentation and qualification of structural/ civil issues. Experience in the usage of various structural/civil analysis and design software will be an added advantage.

As a Professional Engineer, the candidate is expected to be a natural problem solver with an excellent understanding of structural/civil engineering first principles, and have a comprehensive knowledge of local and international standards especially as relates to construction with locally used building materials.

These positions require a Professional Engineer with an ERB practising certificate and between 10 to 15 years of relevant experience. The candidates should be hands on professionals with strong leadership and communication skills, able to confidently and appropriately assert themselves, conduct presentations to stakeholders, make prudent decisions and effectively solve problems. The candidates will be expected to resolve conflict, deliver to deadlines; and maintain quality and ISO standards and procedures. These roles may involve some regional travel.
