Okavango Diamond Company (ODC) is a rough diamond marketing company wholly owned by the Botswana Government.
We offer our global customer base open access to a scaled supply of the full range of rough diamonds sourced from Botswana.

Main Purpose of the Job

The ESG Specialist is responsible for integrating and managing sustainability within the company’s operations
to ensure compliance with environmental, social, and governance standards.
This role develops strategies to minimize environmental impact, promotes fair labour practices,
and fosters community engagement. The ESG Specialist aligns business practices with sustainable principles,
enhancing transparency and meeting evolving expectations in the diamond industry.

Key Responsibilities (ESG Focus)

• Develop ODC’s ESG strategy aligned with global standards.
• Assess ESG risks in the diamond sales industry.
• Implement ESG monitoring and disclosure programs.
• Ensure compliance with international standards and ethical sourcing practices.
• Align ESG initiatives with company values.
• Build partnerships and maintain stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications & Experience (ESG)

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Social Sciences, or Business Administration.
• 3+ years’ experience in ESG practices within mining or diamond industry.
• Proven experience implementing ESG programs.
