Special Education Teacher – Kiddies Academy

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team of educators. In this role, you will be responsible for instructing groups of students with mild to moderate disabilities.

Your ultimate goal will be to provide guidance and inspiration to help children achieve important learning milestones

Responsibilities

1. Assess students’ abilities and craft teaching plans
2. Adapt learning materials to students’ needs
3. Keep track of and reflect on students’ progress
4. Monitor children’s behavioral patterns and arrange appropriate interventions if needed
5. Inform parents about their children’s performance and potential problems
6. Collaborate with the support staff (e.g. occupation therapists and speech therapists) to create holistic intervention plans
Requirements and skills
Degree in Special Education
Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher or relevant role
Experience working with children with a wide range of disabilities
Ability to create IEPs
