VACANCY ADVERTISEMENT – VACANCY CIRCULAR NO. 1 OF 2024
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Physiotherapist tenable at Tsholofelo Rehabilitation Centre in Serowe.

Tsholofelo Rehabilitation Centre is a Non-Governmental Organisation partly funded by the Ministry of Health to provide pre-school education, rehabilitation, stimulation and advocacy for children with disabilities in Serowe and surrounding villages. The Centre also offers special education. Tsholofelo Rehabilitation Centre does not have permanent sources of funding but sustains its operations from assistance from donors and well-wishers.

  • SOCIALWORKER-1 POST

Annual salary: C1 (PI 83 408-P218184)
Leave: 25 working days per annum.
Qualification: Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling.

Requirements:
• At least two (2) years’ minimum relevant work experience.
• Must have no criminal record.
• Must not be registered in the Register of Children Abusers in accordance with Children’s Act.
• Must be of sober habits.
• Having worked with people with disabilities (PWDs) will be an added advantage
Main Duties:
• To provide counselling therapy services to clients at Tsholofelo Rehabilitation Centre.
• To plan and conduct awareness on topics regarding disability in collaboration with other Team members.
• To assess clients referred to the Centre and find out together with the Team, their Caretakers and Co-workers their psychological and spiritual needs.
• To attend meetings in the District relevant to the Department and report to the organisation.
• To be responsible for organising training at Tsholofelo Rehabilitation Centre concerning areas such as counselling trauma, conflict resolution, team building, motivation etc.
• To undertake home visits and recommend coping mechanisms
at home.
• To train the Clients and their Caretakers to use suitable therapy methods in reducing stressful life styles.
• To adhere to all relevant service standards and follow the rules and regulations of Tsholofelo Rehabilitation Centre.
• To develop oneself so that you are up to date in the field of professional Counselling.
• To be an active member of Rehabilitation Team at Tsholofelo Rehabilitation Centre.
• To undertake any other duties as may be required to meet the exigency of the service.
