Specialist: Remuneration

 

Position Purpose

Evaluates, design and implement remuneration frameworks and practices. This role plans and directs decisions about employee pay, benefits, rewards and other forms of compensation. This role has responsibility for the compensation budget and manages costs such that the budget is not exceeded. Responsible for managing salary classification and compensation programs, overseeing the implementation of compensation and benefits, analysing compensation data, evaluate job positions to determine classification of salaries, administration of employee insurance and staff pension.

  • Salary survey/benchmarks
  • Remuneration Committee (paper preparation, WUC representation & action of decisions)
  • Effective & EVP aligned Total Rewards Framework
  • Maintenance of Internal Equity (limited bricks & bubbles on TGP)
  • Effective Variable Pay cycle Management
  • Effective management of employee cost, relative to revenue

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications:

  • A Degree in Social Sciences, Human Resources Management, Business Administration or Industrial Psychology is required.
  • Certification in Compensation and Benefits specialty.

Experience

5 years’ technical experience, including 3 years as at supervisory level

Long Description

Remuneration

Salary: An attractive Salary Package commensurate to the market

Leave: 30 working days per annum

Pension: A Contributory Pension Scheme (16.5% WUC and 4% Employee)

75% paid by the Corporation towards Medical Aid
