Botswana Oil Limited (BOL) was established to achieve the Government’s economic objectives of ensuring the security of fuel supply, managing government strategic fuel reserves, and facilitating active citizen involvement in the petroleum industry. SENIOR MANAGER – PROCUREMENT OVERSIGHT UNIT
Main Purpose of the Job
The position is responsible for playing an advisory and quality assurance role to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) on any procurement matters within the Company, in accordance with relevant legislation, policies and applicable national and international standards. Furthermore, the position is responsible for ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in a manner possible by enforcing compliance with provisions of the new Public Procurement Act, Regulations and best practice.

- Effective pre-adjudication, adjudication and recommendation of tender awards
- Compliance to the public procurement laws and related and regulatory framework
- Customer service delivery
- Tender Management
- Supplier performance and contract management
- Oversight of procurement oversight records and reports
- Sustainable procurement in delivering economic, social and environmental policy objectives.
Position Requirements
Education: Bachelors Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain and Materials Management (ClPS Level 6) or Equivalent or Business or related degree.
Professional/Technical: Membership to one of the following: Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) – MCIPS or Chartered Institute of Logistics and TransportfCILT) – CMILT or Institute for Supply Management (ISM) – CPSM or National Contract Management Association (NcMA) – CPCM.
Experience: At least ten (10) experience in Procurement Management or supply chain management environment, three (3) years of which must be in a managerial position in a reputable private or public institution or equivalent to heading the procurement unit.
