VACANCY
FUND MANAGEMENT
Applications are invited from suitably qualified, experienced and highly motivated citizens of Botswana for the above position in the Ministry of Minerals and Energy (MME) under the Department of Energy.
Salary Scale: D4 (P243.7S6 – 268,680) per annum
Leave: 30 working days per annum.
Benefits:

2. Contributory pension scheme for permanent and pensionable appointments. (Government pays 15% and employee pays 5%)
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or any related field from a recognized and accredited institution, plus registration with Botswana Institute of Chartered Accountants (BICA)
Experience:
A minimum of six (6) years post qualification experience in finance and accounts administration with a minimum of two (2) years served at Cl level in the Public Service or equivalent in either parastatal or private sector. Experience in the management of fundswill be an added advantage.
Main Purpose of the job:
Administration of fund management for the National Petroleum Fund (NPF), Security of Supply Margin (SSM) and the National Electrification Fund (NEF) and ensures compliance to the Fund Orders.
Key Performance Areas:
• Receives and checks all levy returns for NPF, NEF and SSM
• Reconciliation of levy remittances against levy returns from Oil companies and Botswana Power Corporation
• Preparation of levy returns reports
• Liaising with oil companies, and BPC for non-payment to payment of levies
• Follow up of levy payment defaulters
• Maintenance of Oil companies database
• Attend to customer complaints
