Job Description

Job Summary:  

Implements the Security quality assurance programme in accordance with set governance protocols and principles.

 

Key Activities:

  • Analyses the mini business unit area’s financial needs to develop a budget and ensures sufficient financial resources to meet business needs.
  • Manages and controls allocated funds and operates within approved parameters.
  • Interprets and develops the Security Management strategy in line with the MCM Strategic Business Plan.
  • Develops and manages the implementation of the investigations and Intelligence framework taking cognizance of the MCM corporate governance principles and legal requirements.
  • Coordinates and manages the implementation of the MCM security initiatives relating to company assets and product protection and security risk management.
  • Conducts ongoing security risks and trends analysis for MCM and takes appropriate action to maximize protection of assets and product.
  • Implements Security Emergency Response Plans, Crisis Response Plans, and Disaster Recovery Plans.
  • Develops security maintenance plans in accordance with security systems standards.
  • Defines Security System requirements to mitigate vulnerability and risks.
  • Manages the development and implementation of security system backup routines and disaster recovery plan.
  • Coordinates the deployment of security systems, evaluates the effectiveness and efficiencies to ensure optimal utilization and availability in accordance with approved protocols.
  • Identifies and manages the implementation of and adherence to legal and corporate governance principles/requirements.
  • Manages and coordinates the implementation of safety, health and environmental programme in area of responsibility.
  • Identifies and implements creative and innovative ideas to continuously improve and sustain    business performance.
  • Manages the implementation of the talent management initiatives in area of responsibility by ensuring the right competence and effectiveness of manpower (capacity building) through developing and implementing career, succession, training and development plans.
  • Establishes and maintains effective relationships with all key stakeholders and partners to ensure achievement of business objectives.

 

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements: 

  • Higher National Diploma/Degree in Security Risk Management or equivalent.
  • 6 years post qualification experience in a security management environment or high value asset-based company.
  • Understanding of SHE Management Systems (ISO 14001 and 45001)
