Role Purpose
Botswana Life is looking for suitably qualified candidates to fill in the role of Sales Leads Management Analyst. The analyst will play a pivotal role in optimising lead generation efforts and ensuring that generated leads are effectively utilised within the life insurance business. This position involves analysing lead data, coordinating with the distribution team to ensure efficient follow-ups, and tracking the utilisation of leads across campaigns. The analyst will drive campaigns aimed at maximising conversion rates and ensuring that all opportunities are fully leveraged to support business growth.
Role Responsibilities
Lead Data Analysis
- Analyse and monitor lead performance data from various sources.
- Track lead conversion rates, sources, and trends to optimise future campaigns.
- Provide regular reports on lead generation outcomes, highlighting areas for improvement.
- Segment leads based on predefined criteria to ensure the right audience is targeted effectively.
Campaign Coordination
- Collaborate with the marketing team to run targeted campaigns that effectively generate and nurture leads.
- Develop strategies to maximize lead conversion, focusing on segmentation, personalization, and engagement.
- Work with the sales and distribution team to ensure timely follow-up on all generated leads.
Lead Utilisation & Follow-up
- Ensure that leads are passed on promptly and accurately to the distribution or sales team.
- Work closely with the distribution team to track and manage lead follow-up progress.
- Coordinate follow-up strategies to ensure high conversion rates from generated leads.
- Monitor and manage lead quality to ensure the team is working with high-potential prospects.
Collaboration & Communication
- Act as the point of contact between the leads generation team, distribution team, and other stakeholders.
- Facilitate regular communication to ensure alignment between marketing, sales, and distribution teams for lead utilisation.
- Provide training or guidelines to the distribution team on how to effectively engage with leads and maximise conversions.
Lead Scoring & Qualification
- Develop and implement lead scoring methodologies to prioritise high-value leads.
- Qualify and categorise leads based on predefined criteria (e.g., interest, buying potential, demographic data) to ensure the distribution team focuses on high-priority leads.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain up-to-date records of lead progress and outcomes within CRM or lead management systems.
- Analyse performance metrics and feedback from the distribution team to refine strategies for future lead management.
- Propose changes or improvements to optimise lead conversion and distribution processes based on data-driven insights.
Market & Competitive Research
- Conduct periodic research into competitor activities and lead generation best practices.
- Use industry insights to refine lead management strategies, ensuring the company remains competitive in a dynamic life insurance market.
Qualifications, Experience and Role-Specific Knowledge
- 2+ years of experience in lead management, sales operations, or a related field, preferably within the insurance or financial services sector.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
- Proven track record of managing and optimising lead generation campaigns.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and produce actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with CRM software and lead management systems.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritise, and meet deadlines effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or other data analysis tools.
- Knowledge of lead scoring models, segmentation strategies, and sales funnel optimisation.
