Role Responsibilities
Customer Engagement and Needs Assessment
- Proactively engage with customers in person, over the phone, or via digital channels to understand their financial needs and goals.
- Conduct needs assessments to identify opportunities for selling suitable financial products and services.
- Build rapport with customers to establish trust and long-term relationships.
Product Promotion and Sales
- Â Present and explain the features and benefits of various retail financial products.
- Tailor product recommendations based on individual customer profiles and financial objectives.
- Close sales by guiding customers through the application process and ensuring all necessary documentation is completed.
Customer Service and Support
- Provide high-quality customer service by addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues, and offering ongoing support.
- Ensure a seamless onboarding process for new customers.
- Follow up with customers post-sale to ensure satisfaction and identify any additional needs.
​​Cross-Selling and Upselling
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell additional products and services to existing customers, such as insurance.
Sales Planning and Execution
- Develop and execute a personal sales plan to meet or exceed sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Track and report on sales activities, pipeline development, and results to management.
- Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and product briefings to stay informed about new offerings and market trends.
Market Research and Competitor Analysis
- Stay informed about market trends, competitor products, and customer preferences to enhance sales strategies.
- Provide feedback to management and product teams regarding customer insights and potential product improvements.
Compliance and Risk Management
- Adhere to all internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance in all sales activities.
- Conduct due diligence to verify customer information and prevent fraud or financial crime.
Qualifications & Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, marketing, or a related field is generally required.
- 5 years of experience in a sales role within the financial services industry, preferably in retail banking or consumer finance.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
- Experience in customer service or client relationship management is highly beneficial.
- Background in dealing with a variety of retail financial products.
