Role Responsibilities

Customer Engagement and Needs Assessment

  • Proactively engage with customers in person, over the phone, or via digital channels to understand their financial needs and goals.
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify opportunities for selling suitable financial products and services.
  • Build rapport with customers to establish trust and long-term relationships.

Product Promotion and Sales

  •  Present and explain the features and benefits of various retail financial products.
  • Tailor product recommendations based on individual customer profiles and financial objectives.
  • Close sales by guiding customers through the application process and ensuring all necessary documentation is completed.

Customer Service and Support

  • Provide high-quality customer service by addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues, and offering ongoing support.
  • Ensure a seamless onboarding process for new customers.
  • Follow up with customers post-sale to ensure satisfaction and identify any additional needs.

​​Cross-Selling and Upselling

  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell additional products and services to existing customers, such as insurance.

Sales Planning and Execution

  • Develop and execute a personal sales plan to meet or exceed sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Track and report on sales activities, pipeline development, and results to management.
  • Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and product briefings to stay informed about new offerings and market trends.

Market Research and Competitor Analysis

  • Stay informed about market trends, competitor products, and customer preferences to enhance sales strategies.
  • Provide feedback to management and product teams regarding customer insights and potential product improvements.

Compliance and Risk Management

  • Adhere to all internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance in all sales activities.
  • Conduct due diligence to verify customer information and prevent fraud or financial crime.

Qualifications & Experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, marketing, or a related field is generally required.
  • 5 years of experience in a sales role within the financial services industry, preferably in retail banking or consumer finance.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
  • Experience in customer service or client relationship management is highly beneficial.
  • Background in dealing with a variety of retail financial products.
