Purpose of the Role
To intepret and analyse data and provide a systems surveillance service in area of responsibility.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Recommends and incorporates cost saving initiatives into budget
- Conducts regular inspections on system operation, ensures functionality and executes security control measures in accordance with security plan
- Conducts system integrity checks on the Access Management System and security infrastructure within high risk areas and takes appropriate action
- Analyses & interprets responses to process interventions and personnel behaviour changes and takes appropriate action
- Conducts microscopic surveillance within high risk areas and identifies deficiencies through comparing access and personnel details against work schedules within the Rules Based Access Management System (RAMS) and other sources
- Assigns and manages profiles on the Security Access Management System in line with set standards
- Interprets, investigates and manages alarms that may impact on the security and safety of products (e.g. anti passback alarms) and takes appropriate action
- Conducts vulnerability assessments in area of responsibility to determine the risk of exposure and takes appropriate action
- Ensures compliance to sectional procedures and standards by populating relevant information on available templates
- Executes first line support to the command, reports incidents responses and early stages of emergency management until such time that an emergency response team is formed and operational
- Provides quality customer service in the area of responsibility
- Adheres to legislative and corporate governance principles and requirements
- Conduct Security induction on all business partners to the mine and other individuals
- Collects and documents diamond pick-up from the pick-up point to relevant stakeholders for further processing
Other Job Responsibilities
- Adheres to safety, health and environmental programme in area of responsibility
Education
- Diploma in Security Risk Management or equivalent
Experience
2 years postgraduate experience in the field of security and risk management or related fields.
