BBS Bank Limited invites suitably qualified members of the public to apply.
The incumbent plays a crucial role in the bank’s retail and commercial credit risk management by assisting Collections Manager in overseeing arrears management and leading efforts to recover funds from defaulted and written off accounts. The incumbent is also responsible for assisting the Collections Manager in developing and implementing effective strategies to minimize losses and improve overall loan portfolio performance.
Key Performance areas:
- Ensure timely follow-up on delinquent accounts and adherence to collections strategies.
- Oversee the effective recovery of overdue accounts across all product lines.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise the collections team to achieve set targets.
- Ensure all collections activities comply with banking regulations, internal policies, and consumer protection laws.
- Maintain accurate records and audit-ready documentation.
- Handle escalated or complex cases to negotiate suitable repayment arrangements.
- Prepare and present collections performance reports, delinquency trends, and recovery statistics.
- Ensure proper management of Liquidated accounts.
- Review existing collections processes and propose enhancements for efficiency and effectiveness
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Finance, Banking, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in collections, credit control, or recovery operations.
- At least 2 years’ supervisory or team leadership experience (banking environment preferred).
- Strong understanding of collections systems, credit lifecycle, and regulatory frameworks.
