North Atlantic Engineering Consultants, Botswana’s premier sustainable energy building services consultants, invites urgent applications from highly motivated and competent degree qualified Electrical Engineers registered with ERB as Professional Engineers with a valid Practicing certificate to work on complex, technically demanding and prestigious projects like commercial buildings and institutional developments. The position is for a two-year contract.
⦁ Candidates shall have a high level of research, analytical and technical competence, be proactive, decisive and deadline driven, and have good interpersonal and written communication skills
Resident Engineer (Electrical)
⦁ On-site construction monitoring of multidiscipline engineering services projects, tenable outside Gaborone on a contract basis. Responsibilities comprise on-site technical, financial & contractual administration of building engineering services for construction monitoring, technical coordination, quality assurance, inspections, testing & commissioning, training & final handover • Duties include reviewing contractor’s technical documentation, coordination of services, monitoring the progress of works, ensuring designs are being correctly interpreted, carrying out independent verification that the works are completed in accordance to specifications & appropriate construction techniques are being utilized • Applicants should have a minimum of 5 years post-graduate experience, 3 years being site based on medium-to-large engineering services projects including, electrical installation & reticulation, information & communication technology, fire detection, structured voice and data, lifts, security, earthing & lightning protection system, etc
