We are seeking dynamic persons to be employed as Quality Managers in the industry of Wire Harness manufacturing at our rapidly growing plant in Lobatse, Botswana.
QUALITY MANAGER
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
General and Task Management
⦁ The incumbent shall report to the General Manager of Quality and will manage:
⦁ The ongoing maintenance of QMS ensures ongoing compliance against IS0900I, ISO 45001, IATF16949, and VDA6.3 along with the development ana integration of health and safety (and environmental) management systems across the plant.
⦁ Assisting internal personnel by coordinating sustainability audits.
⦁ Translate the Occupational Health & Safety management system into actions required across the plant, training, and coaching SHE officers and trainers on both OHAS and environmental health procedures for the site.
⦁ Assist the training department with technical and CSR information.
⦁ Promoting continuous improvement activities throughout the site.
⦁ The management and growth of the existing quality team, identifying training needs and ensuring these ore addressed, developing the team and individual’s knowledge.
⦁ Managing warranty returns and any customer’s concerns ensuring deadlines ore achieved.
⦁ Overseeing supplier quality concerns and monitoring deviations from expectations.
⦁ Overseeing quality tools such os ANPQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and to deploy 8D to determine and eliminate root causes.
⦁ Analysis and implementation of corrective action where necessary. Internal quality monitoring (control) and LPA.
⦁ Maintain customer data bases (GQE, ONE (B2B).
⦁ Work as part of the senior management team, with input in quarterly meetings, budgets and reviews
⦁ Setting Quality KPI’s considering CSR.
⦁ Conduct internal audits for Quality (VDA 6.3, ASES/SHC), Health and Safety, sustainability and Environment.
⦁ Develop and maintain risk assessment plotforms.
⦁ Maintain and develop the site accreditation status with external bodies ISO, VDA and SHC/ASES.
Skills and Attributes
⦁ Quality Assurance application in the automotive industry.
⦁ Level 5 computer literacy.
⦁ Statistical Process Control.
⦁ Problem-Solving and problem-analysis techniques.
⦁ Failure Mode Effect Analysis. (FMEA)
⦁ Control Plan and control charts.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE LEVELS
⦁ BGCSE (minimum)
⦁ Tertiary education in engineering studies, or Quality Management.
⦁ Advantages: Quality Management certification from a recognized qualification institute ISO 9001 or VDA 6.1/6 3 or IATF 16949, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001)
⦁ Electrical/Electronical engineering or Proof of Electrical/Electronical experience/qualification.
⦁ OEM experience of more than 3 years.
