QUALITY CONTROL (QC) POLISH ASSISTANT

Main Purpose of the Job
The QC polish Assistant executes quality control (QC) in partial polish/final polish diamonds. As well as ensuring quality control by assessing diamonds in Bottom, Bezel, Girdle, Table, and STATO for Clarity, Color, proportion (Cut), polish, symmetry, defect and repair against the Tiffany & CO (TCO) quality specifications.

Key Performance Areas.
· Maintains optimum output in QC polish processes as defined from time to time.
· Ensure that TCO product specifications are met in all areas.
· Provide feedback to polishers in a timely manner and when required.
Provide feedback on quality issues, defects and discrepancies to other QC teams/ Polishers/QC-Team Leaders/Production & Quality Managers. Point out quality problems, defects and record it in system and make recommendations for action. In case of any repairing decision or for adding value, coordinate with QC Team Leader.
· Actively steers the continuous improvement process: Proactively detect quality issues.
· Lead, coach, train the teams/colleagues on clarity, color, proportion, symmetry, polish, defect codes, TCO quality standards and any other related QC process.

Qualifications:
· O’level or BGCSE
· Good Diamond knowledge, diamond grading parameters and manufacturing parameters, clarity, color, polish, symmetry, defects
· Knowledge of Sarin software and of its operation
· Have a thorough understanding of workflows in both the production area and the checking office.

Experience:
· At least 3-year experience in Quality control

Competencies:
· Good teamwork and communication skills
· Practical skills with computer and electronics
· Able to sit for long periods.
· Good eyesight· Attention to Detail
· Analytical thinking
