VACANCY CIRCULAR NO 14 OF 2025
POST: PUBLIC HEALTH ATTENDANT
SALARY: A3 (34740-39 456) per annum
LEAVE: 20 working days per annum
AGE: 18-45 years
Benefits: Optional Medical Aid Scheme: Governments pay 50% and employee 50%.
Contributory Pension Funds: (Government pays 15% and the employee 5%)
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
- To Collect and dispose Refuse within the council area.
Duties
- Collects refuse in designated areas.
- Removes and disposes dead animals within council area.
- Maintains refuse disposal sites, in council area by burning combustible refuse, burial of incombustible refuse, clearing weeds, cutting of trees etc.
- Assists in the destruction of food seized and condemned by the Health Inspector and washes refuse truck routinely.
- Disposes refuse in designated areas in a accordance with provision of Public service Act.
- Segregates waste accordingly and directs waste carrying vehicles to appropriate locations / sport in the landfill
- Undertakes any other related duties as directed by management.
