Job Summary

To provide independent procurement oversight, governance, assurance and strategic advisory services to Management and the Accounting Officer by ensuring that all procurement activities comply with the Public Procurement Act, applicable Regulations, PPRA Directives and internal procurement policies while promoting transparency, fairness, value for money, accountability, ethical procurement and effective procurement risk management.

Key Responsibilities

• To provide independent procurement oversight, governance, assurance and strategic advisory services to Management and the Accounting Officer
• Ensuring that all procurement activities comply with the Public Procurement Act, applicable Regulations, PPRA Directives and internal procurement policies
• Promoting transparency, fairness, value for money, accountability, ethical procurement and effective procurement risk management

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, Business Administration or related field
• A Master’s degree in a related field is an added advantage
• Membership to Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS)
• Professional certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)
