Job Description

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Procurement Planning:

  • Develop and implement procurement plans aligned with organizational goals.
  •  Coordinate with departments to forecast procurement needs.

Supplier Management:

  •  Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and compliance.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure reliable supply chains.
  • Conduct supplier performance reviews and resolve disputes.

Tendering and Contracting:

  •  Draft and issue requests for proposals (RFPs), quotations, and tenders.
  •  Evaluate bids using transparent criteria and recommend the best supplier.
  • Negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing to secure optimal contracts

Procurement Operations:

  • Process purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods/services.
  •  Manage procurement documentation, including contracts, invoices, and delivery records.
  • Address and resolve procurement-related issues.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure all procurement activities adhere to organizational policies and relevant laws.
  • Conduct due diligence on suppliers to mitigate risks.
  • Monitor adherence to regulatory frameworks, including anti-corruption and ethical standards.

Cost Management:

  •  Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement procurement strategies to reduce expenses.
  • Monitor procurement budgets and report variances.

Reporting and Analytics:

  • Maintain detailed procurement reports and dashboards.
  •  Analyze procurement data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Evaluate and enhance procurement processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Recommend and implement sustainable procurement practices.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS).
  • Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM).
  • Certified Procurement Professional (CPP) or equivalent.

Experience 

  • 2–4 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field, preferably in a financial institution or regulated environment.
  • Experience in managing procurement budgets and vendor relationships.

Knowledge & Skills required

  • Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Handling complex contracts and supplier evaluations.
  • Knowledge of procurement cycles, supplier evaluations, and contract negotiations.
  • Ability to analyze budgets, cost structures, and negotiate pricing.
  • Familiarity with procurement laws, anti-corruption guidelines, and ethical standards

Technology Proficiency:

  • Experience using procurement software (e.g., SAP, Coupa, Oracle).
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
