Procurement & Logistics Superintendent – Redpath Botswana

Job Description

Redpath is the world’s premier full-service underground mining contractor. Redpath Botswana are excited to be looking for two (2) Procurement & Logistics Superintendents for the Jwaneng Underground Mining Development Project.

Key Responsibilities:
– Lead and manage procurement controls activities including supplier identification, cost-effectiveness schedule, vendor performance and evaluation.
– Plan and coordinate shipments, manage transportation routes, and ensure timely delivery of materials or products.
– Oversee inventory levels, manage stock distribution, and maintain accurate inventory records to avoid shortages or excess stock.
– Develop and submit RFQs for major resource projects.
– Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and deliveries; ensure compliance with organizational, legal, and safety regulations.
– Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, fostering long-term partnerships.
– Coordinate timely logistics and transportation for freight requirements in accordance with required schedules.
– Provide an end-to-end view of all sourcing strategies.

Requirements:
– Minimum 10 years’ experience procurement & logistics within mining, resources or heavy industry in the capacity of specialist, manager or management consultant.
– Extensive project experience in Supply Chain and Logistics Management.
– Expert knowledge of cost control, planning, forecasting, and earned value management.
– Ability to analyze market trends, commercially astute, and solutions focused.
– Proficient in inventory management software data.
– Proficient in Pronto or related ERP system.
