VACANCY 
The Botswana Defence Force is looking forward to employ suitably qualified Non-Uniformed Personnel for the following positions:
1. PRINCIPAL PHARMACIST I D2 X1 – TENABLE AT SSKB
Qualifications: Experience: Salary scale: Leave: Certification: Benefits:
Degree in Pharmacy or related field
Ten (10) years’ relevant work experience, two (2) years of which should have been served as Principal Pharmacist II at D3 salary scale D2 (P305,664 – P337,068)
30 working days per annum
Must be registered with Botswana Health Professions Council
Optional Contributory Medical Aid Scheme (Government pays 50% while Employee pays 50%)
Contributory Pension Scheme (Government pays 15% while Employee pays 5%) c. Housing and Upkeep Allowance of P309.00 per month
d. Scarce Skill Allowance of 40% of the basic monthly salary
Job purpose: Manage the provision of pharmaceutical services in the Botswana Defence Force.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
a. Provide advice on the implementation of pharmaceutical policies and procedures to ensure compliance to set standards.
b. Develop and implement procedures and guidelines to ensure effective dispensing and control of drugs and medicines.
c. Develop and implement the monitoring and evaluation plan to ensure operational efficiency.
d. Plan, implement and maintain procedures for compounding, packaging and labeling of pharmaceuticals according to policy and legal requirements to ensure
quality, safety and proper disposal.
e. Facilitate the maintenance of appropriate pharmacy records to ensure adherence to set standards.
f. Monitor and evaluate the implementation of LIMS to ensure optimal drug utilization.
g. Provide advice on the procurement of pharmaceuticals to conform to set quality standards.
h. Manage the implementation of the Performance Management System to ensure operational efficiency.
