Applications are invited from suitably qualified Botswana Government Employees appointed Permanent and Pensionable basis for the below mentioned post tenable in the City of Francistown Council.

POST: PRINCIPAL PHYSICAL PLANNER II

SALARY: D3 (P293 652 – P323 748) per annum

QUALIFICATION: Degree in Urban and Regional Planning

LEAVE RATE: 30 working days per annum

EXPERIENCE: At least eight (8) years relevant work experience of which two (2) years must have been served as Senior Physical Planner – D4 salary scale.

REGISTRATION: Applicants must attach certified copy of certified copy of Certificate of Registration registered as a Physical Planner from the Director of Town & Country Planning Physical Planner from the Director of town & Country Planning.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

  • To oversee the performance and development of all quantity surveying works.

DUTIES:

  • Ensures provision of quantity surveying services for the Local Authority
    support to building facilities development and maintenance in conformity with established legislation, regulations, policies and directives.
  • Prepares cost estimates of building projects and maintenance projects.
  • Supervises the preparation of Bills of Quantities and specifications for both maintenance and building projects to guide in the development of the budget for the works.
  • Supervises maintenance and construction works to ensure adherence to budget.
  • Supervises and guides subordinates in accordance with set standards.
  • Undertakes any other related duties as directed by management.
