Job Summary

The Botswana Tourism Organisation (BTO), through the Kavango-Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area (KAZA TFCA), invites tourism operators, SMMEs based in Botswana to express interest in participating in the 3rd Edition of the Okavango Raid, Angola, 05-12 September 2026. The Raid is a flagship transboundary tourism and conservation expedition convened under the KAZA TFCA Secretariat, tracing the water tower landscapes that sustain the Okavango Delta from the source of the Okavango River Basin in Huambo Province, through Bié and Moxico Provinces to the headwaters of the Zambezi, Cuando and Cuito River Basins, before returning via Lunda-Sul and Malanje (including the Calandula Falls) to Luanda. It brings together tourism boards, operators, investors, journalists and adventure tourism enthusiasts from across the KAZA partner states (Angola, Botswana, Namibia, Zambia & Zimbabwe) and forms part of BTO’s ongoing engagement in KAZA TFCA back-to-back events.

Key Responsibilities

Submit a letter, tourism enterprise license and a brief company profile to the Tourism Development Manager, BTO, Kasane at [email protected] (BTO KAZA TFCA tourism focal person). Submissions must be received by 29th August 2026. Shortlisted participants will receive logistical guidance and be connected to the KAZA TFCA Secretariat and Angolan host institutions ahead of the event.

Requirements

  • Registered Botswana tour operators, accommodation providers and tourism service enterprises seeking regional expansion opportunities.
  • Botswana-based investors interested in exploring tourism-related business establishment in Angola’s Okavango region, a designated priority development zone.
  • Enterprises able to self-fund their participation and represent Botswana professionally at this intergovernmental platform.
