Job Summary

Ausdrill Mining Surface (AMS) has been in operation in Africa since 1993. Initially started in Ghana, AMS has expanded its operations over the years into other countries in West Africa and now, Southern Africa. In line with an opportunity that has presented itself in our Botswana operations, we are seeking applications from qualified and experienced candidates to join our team. These positions will be based at the Motheo Copper Project, located in Gantsi in Botswana. We are actively seeking to recruit several experienced mining personnel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Installation and repair of Mining Systems (MineStar/Dispatch system, DSS, Equipment Health, HPGS, Drill navigations, 2-way radios, Cameras, Fuel system etc.)
  • Tier 1 Support and Tier 2 Support
  • Mining Systems Monitoring and fault reporting to OEMs.
  • Installation and Repair of Mining Systems Hardware and software troubleshooting
  • Ensure that equipment no longer required is correctly accounted for and retired correctly.
  • Manage and maintain consumables and hardware backup spares
  • Installation, maintenance, and repair of 2-way radios and their communication hardware and software
  • Keeping inventory of all radios deployed and allocated
  • Repair and maintain all company 2-way radios (Machines and handheld)
  • 2-way radios critical spares control and management
  • Manage and maintain consumables and hardware backup spares for site
  • Installation, maintenance, and repair of Rajant Network hardware, software, and CCTV cameras
  • Rajant network and CCTV cameras monitoring, fault reporting, and repair to OEMs
  • Repair and maintain mobile network trailers
  • Network installations, fault finding, and resolution.

Requirements

  • NCC – Control and Instrumentation or equivalent
  • Basic Computer Skills and network applications
  • At least 3 years’ experience in Mining Systems and equipment support and maintenance environment or similar, dependent upon relevant education/certification
  • Class B Drivers Licence
