Offers and Services Lead

To be responsible for the design, implementation, and optimization of Intelligent Network (IN) platforms ensuring high performance and availability of telecom services. To lead the design, development and delivery of competitive and innovative customer-centric offers and services.

The main duties include but are not limited to:

  • Lead the deployment and optimization of Intelligent Network (IN) systems, supporting services like prepaid/post-paid billing, value-added services (VAS), and SMS/voice services.
  • Responsible for the end-to-end deployment of service platforms, including Provisioning Systems, e-Recharge, and Loyalty Management Systems
  • Lead the design, development and execution of offers for both B2B and B2C customers, ensuring they align with market needs and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with product management, sales and marketing teams to define the scope and technical requirements for offers and services tailored to both B2B and B2C segments.
  • Responsible for integrations to the billing platforms by 3rd parties (external and internal)
  • Manage system upgrades to ensure that service platforms are secure, up-to-date, and compliant with industry standards.
  • Ensure comprehensive technical testing of new service platforms and integrations, documenting results and performing acceptance testing before the official service launch
  • Facilitate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with Marketing, Sales, Orange Money (OM) and other business units.
  • Document all changes and solutions implemented on service platforms to ensure business continuity.
  • Responsible for handover of newly deployed business solutions and integrations to the operations team.
  • Provide support to the operations team as needed to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to service platforms
  • Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes related to service platforms’ development and evolution.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers, providing leadership and fostering a collaborative, high-performance team environment.
  • Perform any other tasks as assigned by management

Skills:

  • Familiarity with 3G/4G/5G core network architecture and service delivery platforms
  • Very good knowledge of intelligent network (IN) platforms
  • Experience in managing vendor relationships and working with third-party service providers
  • Ability to work with confidential information
  • Good time management, organizational & project management skills
  • Ability to understand and work within complex customer environments, offering tailored solutions that meet their specific needs
  • Proficient in any scripting language
  • Strong expertise in SQL

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems/IT/Telecommunication Engineering
  • A Masters Degree would be an added advantage
  • 5 years of experience in a telecommunications environment with emphasis on billing and charging platforms.
