Job Description

Bamalete Lutheran Hospital is a reputable, very busy level 1 District Mission Hospital providing a range of health care services. The Hospital invites applications from suitable candidates for the following positions:

  • Position: MEDICAL OFFICER

Salary scale: D4 (243, 756 – 268, 680) per annum

Qualifications: Bachelor of Medicine (MBChB)

Experience: At least 1 year post qualification. Experience in obstetrics and should be able to perform caesarean
sections on his/her own.

Duties & Responsibilities: All basic duties related to the medical department of a busy District Hospital:
• Takes history and physically examines the patient.
• Assesses the patient and continuously refines and updates findings through subsequent examinations of the patient.
• Refers patients to senior health care providers for management above his/her level of competence.
• Night and weekend calls
