RED EAST CONSTRUCTION is looking for the following mechanics

Job Summary:
The Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of a wide range of mechanical equipment and systems. Using your hands-on expertise and problem-solving skills, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our client’s assets and infrastructure. As a member of our technical team, you will work closely with engineers, operators, and other stakeholders to diagnose and resolve issues, implement preventive maintenance programs, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our mechanical capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

– Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on a variety of mechanical equipment, including engines, pumps, gearboxes, compressors, and hydraulic systems
– Conduct inspections, testing, and diagnostics to identify potential issues or malfunctions and recommend appropriate corrective actions
– Troubleshoot and repair mechanical breakdowns, utilizing specialized tools and equipment as required
– Install, adjust, and align new or replacement mechanical components and systems, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards
– Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and performance data
– Collaborate with engineers and subject matter experts to develop and implement preventive maintenance strategies and procedures
– Provide technical support and guidance to operators and other personnel on the proper use and care of mechanical equipment
– Contribute to the continuous improvement of maintenance practices, documentation, and training programs
– Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in relevant mechanical technologies, tools, and industry best practices
– Adhere to all applicable safety, environmental, and quality control protocols

Required Skills and Experience:

– Technical diploma or certificate in a relevant field, such as mechanical or industrial technology
– 3-5 years of experience as a mechanic or in a related technical role
– Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to diagnose and resolve complex mechanical issues
– Proficient in the use of a variety of hand tools, power tools, and specialized test equipment
– Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
– Good understanding of relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations
– Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
– Adaptable and able to work independently or as part of a team
– Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
– Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as required
