MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your key accountabilities include:
- Responsible for budget planning and control, cost estimates, forecasts and capital expenditure requests.
- Mechanical equipment scope development, evaluation of tenders and insurance of quality management plans.
- Ensuring adherence to the maintenance management plan systems of work.
- Taking key role in the setup of the CMMS system and related procedures.
- Analysing Equipment Performance and evaluating maintenance program effectiveness.
- Developing and establishing quality assurance (QA) and inspection procedures.
- Developing and maintaining quality best fit SLA standards in the delivery of maintenance services in accordance with contracts and agreements.
- Maintaining the critical strategic spares inventory and taking appropriate action to ensure ongoing availability.
- Analysing equipment performance through various means including condition monitoring and inspections.
- Evaluating maintenance program effectiveness, investigating equipment failures and developing action plans and schedules to eliminate repetitive failures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR EFFECTIVE PERFORMANCE:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- 8 years post qualification experience in maintaining mining equipment.
