Materials Engineer – Bango Trading

Job Description

MAIN DUTY:

To ensure the quality and appropriateness of materials used in the projects match the set standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct tests on materials to ensure they meet project specifications and standards.
• Maintain detailed records of material tests, approvals, and any corrective actions taken.
• Work closely with other engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
• Assess and select appropriate materials for road construction based on their properties, cost, and project requirements.
• Identify and address any issues related to materials, such as defects or non-compliance, and recommend corrective action plan.
• Provide technical support and guidance throughout the construction process to ensure materials are used effectively and efficiently.
• Execute any other morally reasonable assignments to meet the exigencies of service.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or any related field
• Valid ERB practising certificate
• Valid Class B driver’s license

Experience:

Minimum of three (3) years in bituminous paved roadways and road works construction
