Maintenance Supervisor – Khoemacau Copper Mining

BASIC FUNCTION OF THE POSITION:

The role of the position holder will be to lead and supervise a multi-disciplinary team of artisans and assistants to ensure safe, timely, and quality maintenance of facilities infrastructure including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural works.

 MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Allocating and overseeing daily maintenance tasks across disciplines.
• Supervising and providing technical support to contractors doing maintenance.
• Conducting quality checks on completed jobs and ensuring compliance with standards.
• Maintaining maintenance records in coordination with the Maintenance Manager.
• Supporting preventative maintenance planning and execution.
• Responding for and assigning urgent maintenance issues promptly.
• Assisting in onboarding and mentoring of new team members.

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR EFFECTIVE PERFORMANCE:

• Artisan qualification in relevant trade (Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, Carpentry)
• Supervisory training certificate is an advantage
• Minimum 5 years in maintenance roles, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory position
• Experience in a mining or industrial environment preferred
