We are looking for a highly-driven and result-oriented individual with excellent interpersonal skills to join our organisation as a Life-skill Facilitator;
Main Purpose
This position works with youth to provide them with HIV preventions services including both biomedical and socio-economic empowerment approaches, and also working with families by connecting them to available resources in the community. This involves developing and maintaining working relationships with family centers and community organization as well as enhancing relationships with referral sources and community leaders.
Key Responsibilities
- Introduce all youth programs scope (approaches, methodologies and services) to local authorities and communities
- Develop a work plan and budget for all youth programs DREAMS activities to ensure efficient HwwB service delivery.
- Conduct life skills sessions as per the principles of methodology and the authorised curriculum.
- Ensure accomplishment of planned activities
- Initiate the integration of social & other issues among youth groups as OVC care and support, HIV/AIDS, & rights issues
- Help youth to develop feasible plans, social projects and implementation strategies
- Mentor livelihood projects with government structures
- Promote outreach programs
- Participate in conducting roster exercise to enumerate AGYW/OVC
- Participate in community mobilisation on Dreams/OVC
- Recruit and enrol the most at risk AGYW/OVC in schools into DRAEMS /OVC
- Assist the mentor to establish DREAMS Safe space Groups for adolescent girls and young women in schools and out of schools
- Case management of AGYW/OVC: assessing risk factors of each adolescent girls/young woman and making case treatment plans and executing them promptly
- Deliver Evidence Based intervention for health education, financial education and GBV prevention training content to AGYW /OVC, in safe spaces
- Work with DREAMS Team to refer and link AGYW/OVC to appropriate services
- Conduct IECD sessions for HwwB sites
- Perform any other duties assigned to you by your superiors

Experience and Qualifications required
- Minimum Diploma in Social Work or Counselling, Sociology or equivalent training
- HIV/AIDS work experience
- 2 years’ experience in NGO Sector
