Job Description
Botswana Oil Limited (BOL) was established to achieve the Government’s economic objectives of ensuring the security of fuel supply, managing government strategic fuel reserves, and facilitating active citizen involvement in the petroleum industry. We are looking for outstanding and driven individuals to take up these exciting and challenging roles:
LEGAL ADVISOR
Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, the Legal Advisor will be responsible for monitoring the Company’s legal affairs, ensuring that they remain in compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to Botswana Oil Limited.
Key Performance Areas
- Preparation, review, monitoring and management of contracts and SLAs
- Compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements and BOL policies
- Provision of other legal advice and services
- Liaison with BOL External Counsel
- Adherence to set deadlines
Position Requirements
Education: A minimum of a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognized university plus admission to practice in the Courts of Botswana.
Professional/Technical: Membership in good standing of the Law Society of Botswana is essential.
Experience: At least eight (8) years post qualification working experience in the legal department of a reputable public/private organization.
