FACULTY OF SOCIAL SCIENCES
DEPARTMENT OF STATISTICS
LECTURER IN STATISTICS (CONTRACT POSITION)
VACANCY NO: FSS/ST01/2022
Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to: i) teach undergraduate and graduate level courses especially Biostatistics ii) supervise undergraduate, Masters and PhD student research as need may arise; iii) participate in all academic and professional activities of the department including research; iv) carry out any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department.
Requirements: Candidates should have: i) At least a relevant Doctorate in Statistics. ii) Show evidence of engagement in research. iii) Evidence of governance and social engagement as well as University teaching experience or equivalent will be an added advantage. iv) Area of interest in Biostatistics.
NB: In special circumstances an applicant with a relevant Masters’ Degree in Statistics with a Bachelors’ degree in Statistics of at least a 2(i) pass /GPA of at least 3.6 or equivalent may be considered.
