ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE
LECTURER IN ENVIRONMENTAL
ECONOMICS (CONTRACT)

VACANCY NO: FOS/ENV03/2023

The Faculty of Sciences invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the position of Lecturer in Environmental Economics.

Duties:

The successful candidate will be expected to:

(i) teach undergraduate and graduate courses in environmental economics and quantitative techniques in environmental science,

(ii) supervise both undergraduate and graduate student research projects within the department;

(iii) conduct research in their area of expertise;

(iv) participate in the academic and professional activities of the Department;

(vi) carry out any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department.

Requirements:

Applicants should have:

(i) a Doctorate in Environmental Economics or a related field with a bias towards environmental economics;

(ii) show evidence of engagement in research, The following will be added advantages:

(i) evidence of governance and social engagement as well as teaching experience at a University or comparable institution.

NB: In special circumstances, a Master’s Degree in Environmental Economics or a related field with a bias towards environmental economics, (plus at least a 2.1 pass or GPA of 3.6 at the Bachelor’s degree level) may be considered on a contract basis.
