FACULTY OF EDUCATION
VACANCY NO: IRC 1082 – LECTURER IN COUSELLING AND HUMAN SERVICES, DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATIONS (Contract position)
The Faculty of Education invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the post of Lecturer in Counselling and Human Services.
Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to:
i) teach Counsellor Education courses at undergraduate and graduate level and supervise research, practicum, and internship
(ii) participate in all academic and professional activities of the department including research and curriculum review
( iii) carry out any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Head of Department.
Requirements: Applicant should possess:
(i) at least a Doctoral Degree in Counselling and Human Services/Guidance and Counselling/Counselor Education and supervision or related fields
(ii) show evidence of engagement in applicants research
the following will be added advantages (i) evidence of Governance and Social Engagement; (ii) teaching experience at a University or comparable institution.
N.B In special circumstances, candidates who do not have a Ph.D. may be considered provided they have; (i) a relevant Master’s degree, and (ii) a relevant Bachelor’s Degree or cognate field with at least 2(i) pass or equivalent.
The curriculum vitae (CV) should contain a detailed list of publications clearly specifying tittles of publications, ISBN numbers, (for books, book chapters and conference proceedings), dates published, name of publishers and name(s) of co-authors, if any, and number of pages. The work should be categorized into books, book chapters, refereed journal articles, on-refereed works and consultancies
