LEAN SIX SIGMA GREEN BELT (X1) GABORONE
 In its pursuit to become a Competitive Commercial Power Utility within the Region, Botswana Power Corporation invites applications from suitably qualified, highly energetic, dynamic, result oriented, innovative, and customer focused individuals, who believe they can be part of a great team that delivers power to Botswana to apply for the below listed position not later than 08 July 2023.
Main purpose of the position
Manage the Process Documentation and Optimization for assigned business units and lead the efforts of deployment, sustainment, and education of Lean Six Sigma within BPC.
Job Responsibilities
- Analyse data, prepare and present reports from time to time for the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and support presentations to stakeholders (e.g. BPC Management and Staff) as necessary.
- Train and coach staff across the organisation on Lean Six Sigma principles, tools, and techniques
- Introduce Lean Six Sigma Programmes and practices within the business and ensure their sustainability and desired impact on the business
- Lead targeted interventions at leadership and staff levels to motivate the desired culture change.
- Establish and introduce systems that will ensure sustainability of the desired culture transformation.
- Develop and implement Change Management plans for each of the assigned projects and initiatives in collaboration with the Human Resources and Change Management teams.
- Continuously inform employees of relevant changes and developments within BPC as related to the Lean Six Sigma projects and initiatives.
- Lead project teams to ensure adherence to the Corporations project management framework in all projects undertaken.
- Document Business Processes in accordance with the established Business Process Management Framework
- Continuously review, and in collaboration with functional units, optimize Business Processes
Qualifications
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering/ Business Process Management or any other relevant qualification
- Lean Manufacturing or Lean Enterprise qualification will be an added advantage
- Business Process Management & Project Management Certifications will be an added advantage
- ASQ Certified Six Sigma Green Belt will be an added advantage
Experience
- Minimum 4 years professional experience
- Must posses experience with Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques, process mapping and business process improvement & change management.
