The Regent Group is looking for dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to fill the following vacancy.

Junior Chef – Regent Select Hotel-1

We are looking for a dedicated junior chef to prepare high-quality meals in accordance with food health and safety regulations and company standards. The junior chef’s responsibilities include following instructions relating to the timely preparation of food orders, organizing workstations, and assisting other chefs as needed. You should also be able to ensure that the refrigerators and storerooms are kept clean and tidy.

Requirements:-

  • At least a Certificate in Culinary arts or any relevant qualification.
  • at least 3 years of experience
  • Sound knowledge of cooking methods and techniques.
  • Proven experience working as a Junior chef.
  • The ability to follow recipes.
  • The ability to work in a team.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Effective communication skills
  • Mass or banqueting and ala carte Catering
  • Inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of state of sanitary food handling practices.
  • Prepare, Observe and test to determine it has been cooked sufficiently.
  • Measure and weigh and mix ingredients according to recipes.
  • Regulate the temperature of ovens and grills.
  • Consult with supervisor to plan, manage and coordinate menus.
  • Ordering and stock taking procedures
  • Inspect food supplies, equipment & work areas for cleanliness and functionality of equipment.
