Barloworld Equipment Botswana is a wholly owned subsidiary of Barloworld Equipment Southern Africa, we are the sole dealership of Caterpillar earthmoving equipment in Southern Africa. Barloworld Equipment Botswana invites suitable candidates for the positions of Lead Mechanic and IT Support Engineer
IT Support Engineer X1 (Gaborone)
Job Outputs
• To assist with the technical support for application assistance from all our operational areas as and when required.
• To troubleshoot and fix individual and or sectional LAN outage or none performance.
• Engage ISP when the WAN is not performing or there is an outage.
• Ensure best performance of all sites servers at all times.
• To ensure that all computers are compliant at all times on areas such as patching, SCCM updates and anti-virus.
• Expected to fix computer replacing parts such as hard drives, motherboards etc
• Ensure Botswana OU’s are up to date for both the users and computers, policies
• Assume duties of the IT Manager when unavailable.
Requirements
• BSc Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent.
• 5 years proven working experience in enterprise technical support, IT support or as a technical engineer.
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong analytic skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
